It was exciting times at Altior HQ as the team celebrated Children in Need with a bake sale that raised over £100 – and also met Sir Terry Wogan’s tribute act, Jerry Logan!
The televised fundraiser was the first since the show’s veteran presenter Sir Terry Wogan died in January, and with Altior’s very own Dave Murray leading the way, the office held a bake sale and paid homage to not only Children in need but also to the man himself, Terry Wogan in a series of fun activities throughout the day.
After a lunch at an Irish pub and in honour of the much-loved presenter, the office launched a Terry themed quiz hosted by our own legend Jerry Logan (AKA Dave Murray). We’d love to say it was a closely fought battle, but as a big fan of Sir Terry, Jerry Logan’s questions were a little too obscure for most of us!
Many confused faces and one or two warnings for researching the questions later, we gave a big congratulations to Jude and Rebekah from our Customer Services team who got the most correct answers and won themselves a Terry’s chocolate orange!
Children In Need 2016 has raised a record £46.6m so far. We’re sure that Sir Terry Wogan would have been very proud indeed!
